I assume we have no visibility into the traffic here? Curious why my CL post blew up.

(I thought about titling this post “Referers” for the web nerds out there.)

That happens sometimes when you use key words in your post like Muscle car, diesel, camaro, mustang, Porsche etc... that’s as near as I can figure out...

The algorithm is dumb. And probably somewhere else on the internet keeps linking to Kinja, which is a terrible idea on the best of days.

Certain words in the title and tags can set off some sirens out in the internet and random posts get huge amounts of traffic.

That happens to be one of my favorite movies.  Come to think of it, I haven’t watched it yet this year.

Yeah, that movie is literally life-changing. I’ve seen performances by Allison Krause and (RIP) Dr. Ralph Stanley as a result. Also saw the Grand Ol’ Oprey when Dr. Stanley was supposed to perform, but was unwell.

So funny, so quotable, such great music.
